Exercise initiatives

We hold walking rallies for physical health building and recommend ongoing exercise activities. We also continuously provide exercise-related health information in order to foster health awareness among employees.

Food initiatives

We support food-based health building for our employees by providing them with opportunities to eat low calorie, nutritionally balanced food. We also continuously provide food-related health information in order to foster health awareness among employees.

  • Subsidized cost of delivery lunchboxes that meet the requirements of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare’s Dietary Reference Intake.

Sleep initiatives

To prevent lifestyle diseases and effectively build mental and physical health, we recommend that our employees get sufficient sleep. We also continuously provide sleep-related health information in order to foster health awareness among employees.

  • Conducted a sleep management program
  • Conducted sleep hygiene education
  • Conducted awareness survey on sleep-related lifestyle habits

Stop smoking initiatives

We have completely banned smoking during working hours with the aims of realizing healthy, comfortable workplaces, preventing passive smoking among employees, and encouraging stopping smoking. We also provide support to smokers who wish to stop smoking in consideration of their health.


Results of fiscal 2017 initiatives:

  • Started full ban on smoking during working hours
  • Subsidized treatment to stop smoking – 9 participants treated, 4 successfully gave up smoking
  • Conducted awareness survey on smoking-related lifestyle habits


Planned initiatives for fiscal 2018:

  • Subsidizing cost of treatment to stop smoking
  • Health collaboration with Shizuoka Sekiyu Health Insurance Association

Health classes

We regularly hold seminars for our employees on lifestyle habits. Focusing on nutrition, exercise and rest, the three main things needed to maintain good health, these seminars enable employees to better understand smoking and lifestyle diseases.

  • Health seminars on the themes of exercise, food and sleep.

Mental healthcare promotion

To implement measures for preventing mental disorders, we conduct workplace improvement training based on the results of a stress check organization diagnosis. We also utilize an external organization called EAP (Employment Assistance Program) to provide systematic training for managers and employees.


Results of fiscal 2017 initiatives:

  • Conducted workplace improvement training from results of stress check organization diagnosis – 42 participants
  • Self-care training, 8 times – 473 participants
  • Self-care training, 25 times – 1,050 participants
  • Line care training, 6 times – 731 participants
  • Mindfulness training – 18 participants


Planned initiatives for fiscal 2018:

  • Conducting stress checks
  • Conducting work environment improvement review meetings
  • Conducting self-care, line care

Cancer support

We arrange testing for the five main kinds of cancer (lung cancer, intestinal cancer, stomach cancer, breast cancer and uterine cancer) and encourage employees to get tested. For lung cancer, intestinal cancer and stomach cancer, our regular health examinations include all tests required by law, as well as some additional tests. For female-specific diseases such as breast cancer and uterine cancer, our company encourages female employees to get tested by providing them with a certain level of subsidies.

Others

To raise the level of health literacy among employees, we continuously provide all kinds of health information via our industrial health staff and recommend that employees acquire health-related qualifications.


Results of fiscal 2017 initiatives:

  • Health information placed in in-house newsletters by industrial health staff
  • Recommendation to obtain Japan Healthcare Master Certification (organized by Japan Healthy Lifestyle Promotion Association)
    Basic level: 27 people, Expert level: 20 eligible people (as of June 30, 2018)
  • Conducted health education seminars – 49 participants
  • Shizuoka Prefecture Health & Happiness Ambassador training course – 15 participants

  • Recommending employees to obtain Japan Healthcare Master Certification (organized by Japan Healthy Lifestyle Promotion Association)
