Establishing a Framework in Preparation for Disasters
In preparation for a big natural disaster, TOKAI Cable Network Corporation has signed an agreement with the government on disaster broadcasting, and will also prioritize disaster broadcasts in an effort to prevent secondary disasters, thereby ensuring that the safety of local residents comes first.
Post-Earthquake Support Activities
Support and Measures for the Great East Japan Earthquake
¥16 Million in Donations
TOKAI Group and its employees donated a total of ¥16 million to The Shizuoka Shimbun and Japan Cable and Telecommunications Association for the purpose of restoring the disaster site.
Provision of 50,000 Water Bottles
The Group provided 50,000 Asatsuyu no Shizuku water bottles (500 ml each) to areas seriously affected by the tsunami.
Support and Measures for the Kumamoto Earthquake
¥7.45 Million in Donations
TOKAI Group and its employees donated a total of ¥7.45 million to The Shizuoka Shimbun and Japan Cable and Telecommunications Association for the purpose of restoring the disaster site.
Provision of 30,000 Water Bottles
The Group provided 30,000 Sarari water bottles (500 ml each) to areas seriously affected by the earthquake.

TOKAI Group facilitates a "TOKAI Group Scholarship System" targeting students of the University of Shizuoka and Shizuoka University every year for the purpose of nurturing talents who can contribute to the development of society in wide-ranging areas.

TThe Ninth Symphony "Ode to Joy" Concert with Residents of Shizuoka Prefecture, Presented by TOKAI Group
TOKAI Group has been organizing the Ninth Symphony "Ode to Joy" Concert since 2010-the year which marked the Group's 60th anniversary. The Group aims to promote art and culture within the local community by providing people who don't often go to concerts an opportunity to enjoy live choruses.
